There are no Pitches on my Blackboard! What's wrong?
Please, don't panic! :) You should choose which Pitches you are interested in and add them to your Blackboard. To do this, use the appropriate button on the description page of each Pitch. Also, if you publish a Creative Solution to any Pitch, that Pitch automatically appears on your Blackboard.
How many Solutions can I publish to one Pitch?
BootB is the Republic of Unlimited Creativity... so there are no limits!
How can I be sure that my ideas won’t be stolen?
Your ideas are visible only to you and to the Brand Builder who, publishing the Brief, agrees to the terms of the Brand Builder's Agreement, which clearly states the principles of Creator's idea protection. In particular, the Brand Builder agrees not to use any Creative Solution or its elements prior to the completed transfer of the Creative Solution and its Intellectual Property.
How can I publish my Solution to a Pitch?
On the “Brief Description” page you will find the “Publish new Solution” button that leads you to “Publish Solution” page. There you may fill in information about your Solution and attach any applicable files. Please, see also the ‘How to attach files’ question. Make sure that files you attach can be opened by common softwares (e.g., it is a bad idea to publish only PSD/CMYK files without JPG/RGB preview files). When you publish your Solution, you have to accept the Creator's Agreement and provide your payment details (sorry, there are legal details even in the BootB Republic... :)
Once you complete the process you will be forwarded to the “Brief Description” page opened on the “Solutions” tab. Your Solution will be there with the Title, Description and the List of attached files visible. Your Creator’s Agreement will be sent to your e-mail address as well (please, add “info@BootB.com” to the list of safe senders).
How to attach files?
This is an instruction that would help you to attach files to your Solution (in case you need help):
1. click on the button "Browse"
2. browse a file from your computer and click "OK"
3. click on the button "Attach" and wait till the file is uploaded
4. to attach another file restart from the p.
How can I edit my Solution?
Once you’ve published your Solution, you can't delete or edit it. You can only create another one.
Can a Brand Builder see an author of a Solution?
The Brand Builder can see your Solution and its identification number, automatically generated by the BootB system. The Brand cannot see your BootB name until the moment you win. This way, the Brand will not be influenced by the origin of the Solution. This is why a student from Africa has the same chance to win as a top ad agency from the USA! :)
When will the winner be chosen?
Usually a Brand Builder needs up to 30 days to choose a Winner. But sometimes it can take more time (when the final choice is made you will receive an e-mail). And if the Brand Builder doesn’t like any of the provided Creative Solutions, the Brand can prolong the Pitch and you may be given another chance to provide a real ootB (out of the Box :) Solution within a new Deadline. In such case, you will receive an e-mail with further details. The prolongation option can be used by the Brand only once per project.
How will I get my money?
At the moment you have two options: Wire Transfer and PayPal. When publishing your Creative Solution, you are asked to make your choice and fill in your payment details accordingly. Once your Solution to the Pitch is chosen as the Winning one, you will have five days to update your payment details (if needed :) BootB will transfer the Budget to the payment details you provided within five days. What is the handling fee?
The handling fee amounting 20 USD is charged in order to cover the bank expenses and any other costs associated to money transfers. The handling fee was introduced in order to replace the transaction fees associated to wire transfers (amounting 45 USD) and it is applicable from the 1st of July 2010 onwards. When payment is made via PayPal the handling fee doesn’t apply.
Are there any tools that can help me to be informed about news?
In order to give you the opportunity to be informed about all important steps happening with the Pitches or about new services available in the Republic, BootB has implemented the system of Alerts. The Alerts are sent to your e-mail address. Please, add “info@BootB.com” to the list of safe senders (and check your inbox... :)
How does your “Top Creators” list work? What can I do to improve my ranking?
Our “Top Creators” list is determined by calculating the number of wins, additional purchases and kept solutions that each Creator submits. It ranks the 150 most successful Creators based on these results, and is refreshed every Monday at 2 a.m. GMT. In the event of a tie between one or more Creators, rankings are determined based on overall success rate of solutions submitted and/or how long each Creator has been registered with BootB.
The best way to move up in the rankings is to continue to provide excellent creative solutions for Brand Pitches. The better your solutions, the better your chances of being selected, earning money and increasing your rating!
